  • 1. How to judge the positive and negative of the film capacitor?

    Film capacitors are not polarized – they can be applied in AC circuits, and certain types (such as polycarbonate or polypropylene capacitors) can be used in high frequency or radio frequency applications.

    However, some film capacitors do have “outer foil” markings (stripes or bars). This shows which terminal is electrically connected to the outermost foil layer of the capacitor roll.
