    The film capacitor has many excellent characteristics, so it is a kind of capacitor with excellent performance. Its main characteristics are as follows: non-polarity, high insulation resistance, excellent frequency characteristics (wide frequency response), and low dielectric loss. Based on the above advantages, film capacitors are widely used in analog circuits. Especially in the signal cross-connection part, capacitors with good frequency characteristics and extremely low dielectric loss must be used to ensure that the signal will not be too distorted when it is transmitted.

    2. What are the temperature characteristics of film capacitors?

    Film capacitors have good temperature characteristics. The difference from other capacitors is that its dielectric material is high-temperature polypropylene film. Its temperature characteristics enable it to work between -40°C and 105°C without the capacitance being affected.

    After measurement, at a fixed frequency, the gradual increase in temperature will cause the capacitance of the film capacitor to decrease, but the decrease is very small, almost negligible, and it is maintained at about 300PPM/℃.

    Film capacitors have good temperature characteristics, but remember that you need to use film capacitors produced by reliable manufacturers.
