Why is a varistor used in the power supply of the circuit board?
The varistor is used to prevent the voltage from being unstable and causing damage to other electrical components.
The role of the varistor: mainly used for voltage clamping when the circuit is subjected to overvoltage, and absorbs excess current to protect sensitive devices.
The resistor body material of the varistor is a semiconductor, so it is a variety of semiconductor resistors.
